GRILLED INDIVIDUAL PIZZAS

- Crust
- • 2 envelopes dry yeast
- •1/2 tsp. sugar
- • 11/2 c. warm water (105 to 115 degrees)
- • 31/2 c. flour
- • 1 tsp. salt
- • Olive oil
- Pizza toppings
- • Commercial pizza sauce (squeeze bottles are useful for a crowd)
- • Olive oil (for white pizzas)
- • Variety of pizza toppings (shredded cheese, diced vegetables, cooked or cured meats, etc.)
Baked French Toast Casserole with Maple Syrup

- Praline Topping:
- 1 loaf French bread (13 to 16 ounces)
- 8 large eggs
- 2 cups half-and-half
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Dash salt
- Praline Topping, recipe follows
- Maple syrup
- 1/2 pound (2 sticks) butter
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- Combine all ingredients in a medium bowl and blend well.
- Makes enough for Baked French Toast Casserole.
SOUTHERN PECAN PIE

- 1 sheet refrigerated piecrust (half a 15-ounce package)
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5-1/3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 large eggs
- 2 cups toasted pecan halves
- Freshly whipped cream

KRIS' GRANDMOTHER'S CRANBERRY BREAD

Great holiday bread recipe
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 egg
- Grated peel of 1 large orange
- 3/4 cup orange juice*
- 1-1/2 cup fresh cranberries**
- 1 to 1 -1/2 cup light raisins
- 1/2 to 1 cup chopped walnuts.
- *You will need a little more juice than that of a large orange; Kris has used cranberry/raspberry juice to complete the 3/4 cup also.
- ** This is roughly 1/2 of a 1 pound package of fresh cranberries.
