Chicken Breasts with Veggies Recipe

In a small bowl, combine the first five ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon reduced-sodium teriyaki sauce
- 1-1/2 teaspoons reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (5 ounces each)
- 1 small potato, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
- 2 large fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large carrot, sliced
- 1 small green pepper, chopped
- 7 pitted ripe olives, halved
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
English Shortbread Cookies

Mix flour, butter and sugar together
- 1 pound butter (4 sticks/2 cups)
- 8 cups white flour
- 1.75 cups granulated sugar,
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 tsp cream of tarter
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tsp lemon extract (or substitute with almond)
- yellow food coloring (if desired)
- candied cherry for garnishment (if desired)
Coconut Chocolate Chip Squares

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9 x 13 pan with oil
- 3/4 cup butter, melted
- 2 1/4 cups ground graham cracker
- 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butterscotch chips
- 1 1/3 cups shredded coconut
Yuletide Banana Bread

- 1 c. whole macadamia nuts, divided
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. mashed ripe bananas (about 2 medium)
- 1/2 c. raisins
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut
Pistachio Muffins

Sift flour with cake mix. Add instant pudding, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon zest and mix together thoroughly
- 1 (18.25 ounce) box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 box pistachio instant pudding
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. lemon zest
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup + 1/4 cup chopped pistachio nuts
- 1 tbs. sugar
Quick Turkey Loaf

Place the oven rack in the center position
- 1 large egg
- 1/3 c. ketchup
- 1 1/2 tsp. seasoning salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 small onion, cut into chunks
- 1 large carrot, cut into chunks
- 1 large celery rib, cut into chunks
- 1 1/2 lb. lean ground turkey (or chicken)
- 2/3 c. large flake rolled oats (old-fashioned)
Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits

1. Preheat oven to 400°F
- For the Biscuits:
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp. baking powder
- 3 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 3/4 cup shortening
- 1 cup raisins
- 2 cups buttermilk (or milk)
- For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp. warm water
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
Buttermilk Fried Chicken

In a glass shallow dish combine corn flakes, salt, thyme, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder
- 1/2 frying chicken, cut in pieces, rinsed, dried
- 1/4 c. buttermilk
- 2 c. crushed corn flakes
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. thyme
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Never-Fail Pie Crust Recipe

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar

- 1 cup room temperature butter
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Cinnamon/sugar mixture (this doesn't have to be exact amounts, whatever looks good)
