wash and peel the skin from the butternut squash
- 1 butternut squash
- olive oil cooking spray
- Mrs. dash seasoning of choice or cinnamon & nutmeg
Southwestern-Style Chicken and Sausage Pies

Thaw the puff pastry sheets according to the directions on the package
- 2 packages frozen puff pastry sheets
- 1 pound sausage meat (without casings)
- 1 pound chicken breasts, diced
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 (16 oz.) can diced tomatoes with mild green chilies, drained
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp. olive oil
- 1 tbsp. taco seasoning
- Pinch crushed red pepper
- 1 egg, beaten with 1 tsp. water
- Dash of hot sauce (optional)

- 1 cup corned beef, cooked and shredded or cut into bite sized pieces
- 1 cup sauerkraut, drained
- 2 medium Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into bite sized pieces
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon pickling spices
- 1/4 teaspoon caraway seeds
- 2 bay leaves
