- 3 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup sugar
- 2/3 cup shortening-crisco
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
- 2 sticks butter
Beef Barley Stew

Delicious, comforting stew perfect for a chilly day! Hearty and packed with flavor!
- 2 tsp olive oil (divided)
- 2 lbs of lean chuck, diced
- 1 small sweet yellow onion, diced
- 4 cloves of garlic, minced
- 8 cups of beef broth
- 1-2 bay leaves
- Sea salt and freshly cracked pepper, to taste
- 8 oz of mushrooms, sliced
- 3 stalks of celery, diced
- 3 carrots, diced
- 5-6 fingerling potatoes, diced
- 1/2 cup of pearled barley
- 1/2 cup frozen peas
- 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with a little water
Indonesian Grilled Pork Tenderloin

Marinated and Grilled pork tenderloin, packed with flavor, and juicy too!
- 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. lime juice
- 2 Tbsp. low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp. freshly grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 pork tenderloin (about 1 to 1-1/4 lbs.)
- I doubled all of the ingredients, including the amount of tenderloin.,It worked perfectly.

- 2 1/4 cups water
- 2 1/4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 cup oil-packed sun-dried tomatoes, rinsed and chopped fine
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
