"Top Tier" Devil's Food Cake with Sour Cream Fudge Frosting

- 1/4 cup natural unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 ounce high-quality milk chocolate (such as Lindt, Perugina, or Valrhona), chopped
- 1/4 cup boiling water
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 2/3 cup cake flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup (packed) dark brown sugar
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Frosting
- 8 ounces high-quality milk chocolate (such as Lindt, Perugina, or Valrhona), chopped
- 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2/3 cup sour cream
- 4 teaspoons light corn syrup
- Organic roses (for garnish)

- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped (1 cup)
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 14 1/2 ounce can diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 10 3/4 ounce can condensed tomato soup
- 1 teaspoon dried basil, crushed
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (6 ounces)
- 1/2 cup finely shredded Parmesan cheese (2 ounces)

Method: 1.Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- Ingredients:
- ◦1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved lengthwise
- ◦1 lb green beans, ends trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
- ◦3 – 4 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
- ◦2 Tbsp olive oil
- ◦salt and pepper, to taste
- ◦1/4 cup basil leaves, chiffonaded*
- To chiffonade, stack a few leaves at a time, roll lengthwise, then cut across the rolled leaves, resulting in long, thin ribbons.
