- 2 bay leaves
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

- 5 slices bacon
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes
- 1/2 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1 tablespoon snipped chives
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper
- 10 baguette slices, brushed with olive oil and grilled
Mom's Banana Oatmeal Bread

Mash 3 large or 4 small bananas in a bowl
- In another bowl mix:
- Mash 3 large or 4 small bananas in a bowl. Add 1/2 c. buttermilk and 1 tsp. baking soda. Set aside.
- 1/4 c. softened butter
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white sugar
- 1 egg
- Beat together with a mixer until light and fluffy. Add: 2c. flour, 1 tsp. baking powder, 1/4 tsp. salt
- Add bananas mixture and mix well together, do not over mix. Place batter in a greased and floured loaf pan and bake 350 degrees for 45-55 minutes.
