In a large bowl or bowl of a stand mixer, whisk together flour, dry milk powder, sugar and yeast
- 2 3/4 cups bread or all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading
- 1/4 cup nonfat dry milk powder
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons instant yeast
- 3 eggs plus 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 cup warm water (about 115 degrees F), plus more for kneading
- 10 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened and cut into very small pieces (or grated)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 egg beaten with 1 tablespoon water (for the egg wash)
- Coarse sea salt, for topping (optional)
Lemon Butter Chicken Pasta

DIRECTIONS In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil
- 1 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts
- kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 12 oz. angel hair
- 1/4 c. butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 small red onion, finely chopped
- 1/3 c. freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 4 lemons)
- 1 lemon, thinly sliced into half moons
- Zest of 1 lemon
- pinch of crushed red pepper flakes
- 3 c. baby spinach
- 1/4 c. Parmesan
STEAK WITH GARLIC PARMESAN CREAM SAUCE

Preheat oven to broil. Place an oven-proof skillet in the oven
- DIRECTIONS:
- 4 (12-ounce) rib-eye steaks*, 1 1/4-inch-thick, at room temperature
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
- FOR THE GARLIC PARMESAN CREAM SAUCE
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup beef broth, or more, as needed
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 cup heavy cream, or more, as needed
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan
- 1 ounce cream cheese, at room temperature
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- To make the garlic parmesan cream sauce, melt butter in the skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Whisk in flour until lightly browned, about 1 minute.
Orzo with Gruyere and Garden Vegetables

Heat 2 Tbs. butter in a medium skillet
- 4 tablespoons butter, divided
- 1 large shallot, minced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 small zucchinis, diced
- 1/2 cup halved cherry tomatoes
- 2 cups uncooked orzo
- 1 (14.5 oz) can Muir Glen fire roasted diced tomatoes, drained 3/4 cup shredded gruyere cheese
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped chives
- 1 pinch coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
Pan Fried Chicken with Mustard Lemon Sauce

- 8 chicken breast minute steaks, 3 1/2 oz each
- 1 cauliflower, about 1 3/4 lbs, trimmed
- 1 garlic clove, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
- 2 tablespoons flat leaf parsley, chopped
- 1 tablespoon wholegrain or Dijon mustard
- 3 oz unsalted butter, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lemon cut into 6 wedges
Shelly's Pancake Bites

- 1/2 cup Multigrain Pancake Mix, dry
- 1/3 cup Soy Milk (any milk would do)
- 1/4 cup Torani Sugar Free Caramel Syrup
- Assorted Toppings: Cooked Sausage, Crumbled Cooked Bacon, Fruit (I used frozen blueberries but banana slices or apples are yum too)

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- fresh chopped parsley for garnish
