Classic Lasagna

  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • 4 cups ricotta cheese
  • 4 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (16oz)
  • 3/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 jar (48 oz) prego chunky garden tomato onion and garlic pasta sauce
  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained



Step 1

spray a 3 quart shallow baking dish with cooking spray. mix ricotta cheese, mozzarella, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese and eggs.

cook beef in a large saucepan over medium high heat until browned, stirring to separate meat. pour off fat. stir in pasta sauce. heat through.

spread 1 cup sauce in prepared dish. arrange 4 noodles in sauce. top with half of the cheese mixture and one third of the sauc.e repeat layers. top with remaining 4 lasagna noodles and the remaining sauce. sprinkle with remaining parm cheese.

bake at 400 for 50mins or until hot. let stand 10 mins.
