- 8 golden delicious apples (about 4 pounds), peeled, cored, cut into 1/3-inch-thick slices
- 3 Tbsp plus 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 3/4 cup margarine or unsalted butter
BAKED BEANS

Preheat oven to 325. Rinse and pick through beans, making sure there are no pebbles

- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
- 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped pecans
- 4 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley
- 4 (4 ounce) fillets salmon
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 lemon, for garnish

- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1/8 tsp hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco)
- 3/4 cup (about) fresh sourdough breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup rice vinegar
- 5 Tbsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
- 2 Tbs water
- 2 tsp minced red pepper
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- 1 tsp black sesame seeds or regular sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup finely grated seeded peeled cucumber
- 4 Tbsp butter
