In a large pot or dutch oven over medium heat, melt butter
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 6 sprigs fresh thyme, leaves removed, or 1 tsp. dried thyme
- 1 lb. Mushrooms, sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 large carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- kosher salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 c. barley
- 32 oz. vegetable broth
- 1/4 c. chopped fresh parsley

- 1/4 cup limoncello
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

- 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt
- 3 large eggs
- Unsalted butter, for buttering the casserole dish
- 5 cups cubed challah (about 8 ounces)
- 1/3 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 tablespoon limoncello
- 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
Cream Filled Cupcakes

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C)
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups white sugar
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
APPLE BREAD

Mix well. Bake 1 hour 15 minutes at 325*
- Mix together:
- ∙ 1 1/4 cup oil
- ∙ 2 cups sugar
- ∙ 2 eggs
- ∙ 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- Mix and add to wet mixture:
- ∙ 3 cups flour
- ∙ 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ∙ 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ∙ 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Add:
- ∙ 3 cups chopped apples
- ∙ 1 cup nuts
- ∙ 1 cup raisins
