Simple Sesame Noodles

Bring a large pot of water to a boil
- 12 ounces thin noodles
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 3 tablespoons pure sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon hot chili oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 green onions, thinly sliced
Spinach Salad with Smoked Salmon, Everything Bagel Croutons and Lemon-Caper Vinaigrette

For the croutons: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 3 day-old plain bagels, halved horizontally and cut into pieces
- 2 to 3 tablespoons olive or canola oil
- 1 teaspoon poppy seeds
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon finely grated lemon zest
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons finely chopped fresh dill
- 2 tablespoons capers in brine, drained
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 ounces smoked salmon or lox, sliced paper thin and torn into pieces
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened but cool, torn into rough chunks
- 4 ounces baby spinach
- 1 small bulb fennel, sliced paper thin
- 1/2 English cucumber, sliced paper thin
- 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced
Sautéed Shrimp with Sour Cream Sauce

Our family loves this recipe - we are garlic fans so I add 1/2 tsp garlic to the sour cream mixture
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 cup Daisy Brand Sour Cream
- 1/4 pound fresh mushrooms
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled
- 2 tablespoons butter

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F
- 1/4 pound (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 cups sugar, divided
- 2 extra-large eggs, at room temperature
- 1 cup sour cream, at room temperature
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 large, ripe peaches, peeled, pitted, and sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Grilled Corn With Pepper Jelly Butter

MAC AND CHEESE BITES

Adults and kids alike will gobble up this cute, comforting appetizer
- 1/4 cup(s) (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup(s) freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3/4 cup(s) elbow pasta
- 1.5 tablespoon(s) all-purpose flour
- 3/4 cup(s) whole milk
- 2 ounce(s) fresh Asiago cheese, shredded
- 2 ounce(s) creamy Gorgonzola cheese, cut up
- 6 sun-dried tomato halves (not in oil), finely diced
- 1 large egg yolk
- 1/2 teaspoon(s) hot red pepper sauce
Eastern European Skillet

Slice the onions into thin rings, slice the potatoes into thin slices and then in half, slice the kielbasa
- 1 pkg polska kielbasa or similar sausage (we use turkey kielbasa)
- 1 medium yellow onion
- 1 can(s) frank's kraut (or similar amount of bagged kraut)
- 3-4 fist-sized yukon gold potatoes
- 1 box or a dozen homemade pierogies
- 4-5 slices (preferably thin slices) swiss cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Bacon and Goat Cheese Stuffed Sweet Pepper Poppers

makes 16 poppers Place oven rack in center position then preheat broiler
- 8 mini sweet peppers, sliced in half lengthwise then seeded
- 4 oz goat cheese, softened
- 4 oz 1/3 less fat cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- salt and pepper
- 4 slices cooked bacon, crumbled and divided
- 1/2 cup sweet chili pepper sauce
MUSTARDY MAC AND CHEESE (AND CAULIFLOWER)

- 4 ounces low carb penne pasta (I like Dreamfields Pasta Healthy Carb Living Elbow Macaroni)
- 1 medium head cauliflower cut into florets
- 1/2 cup plain unsweetened soy milk
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 12 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded (3 cups)
- 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) butter at room temperature
Corn Pudding

- 36 ounces frozen corn kernels, thawed and drained, room temperature (6 cups)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons coarse salt
- 6 scallions, thinly sliced
- 2 small or 1 large red bell peppers, diced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 9 ounces grated Monterey Jack (3 cups)
- 8 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
