- 2 C (1 PD) BUTTER
- 1 1/2 C SUGAR
- 3 C FLOUR
- 1 C SESAME SEEDS
- 2 C COCONUT
- 1/2 C FINELY CHOPPED ALMONDS/ OR MAC NUTS
- CREAM BUTTER,
- ADD SUGAR BEATING UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY.
- ADD FLOUR
- STIR IN SESAME SEEDS, COCONUT AND NUTS
- DIVIDE DOUGH IN THIRDS. ROLL IN WAX PAPER.,
- REFRIGERATE UNTIL FIRM
- SLICE AND BAKE AT 300 DEGREES FOR 30 MINUTES
- ON UNGREASED BAKING SHEET.

- 12 ounces boneless pork, cut into bite-size strips and trimmed of fat
- 1 1/2 cups water----PART CHICKEN BROTH
- 1 3 ounce package oriental- or pork-flavor ramen noodles, broken
- 2 cups fresh snow pea pods
- 2 medium orange, red, and/or yellow sweet peppers, cut into bite-size strips
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- Ground black pepper

Nutritional Information:Makes three servings, each with 3 grams effective carbohydrate plus 4
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 lb lean ground beef
- 1 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms (I like shitaki for this, but use any kind)
- 1 cloves garlic, pressed or minced
- 1/2 of a 10 oz package frozen or raw spinach or one bunch spinach leaves, or chard (my favorite)
- 1 t ground coriander (seed)
- 1 t Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste (I like quite a lot of pepper)
- A shot of hot sauce (totally optional, and not traditional)
- Parmesan cheese not included in carb count

- 8 ounces penne pasta (I like to use whole wheat)
- 4 tablespoons LAND O LAKES® European Style Super Premium Butter
- 16 ounces fresh sliced mushrooms
- 1/4 cup grated or shaved Parmesan cheese
- salt, pepper, and fresh parsley for topping
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 1/2 cups packed greens (spinach, basil, parsley, anything you like - but keep some basil for a more traditional pesto flavor)
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 clove garlic
- juice of 1 lemon
- salt and pepper to taste

- 1 ⁄2 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 ⁄3 cup white vinegar
- 1 ⁄2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
- 1 cup white sugar (can reduce a 2-3 tablespoons for a less sweeter taste)
- 3 ⁄4 cup cold water (or can use unsweetened pineapple juice or half each, I prefer the pineapple juice)
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch (for a thinner sauce reduce to 2 tablespoons, if you want an very thick sauce use 4 tablespoons)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornstarch
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 ⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder (garlic lovers add 1 teaspoon)
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 1⁄3 cups cold water (if you are reducing to half a recipe use 1/2 cup plus 2-1/2 tablespoons water)
- 1 -2 teaspoon sesame oil (optional but good to add)
- oil (for frying)
