Tasty Orange Chicken

In a bowl, mix the orange juice, brown sugar, vinegar, salt, and ketchup
- 3-4 boneless chicken breasts, chopped into small chunks
- 1/3 cup flour
- olive oil
- 1/2 T salt
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- 3 T ketchup
- 6 oz. frozen orange juice concentrate (thaw or throw it in the microwave for 45 seconds)
- 4 T brown sugar

Amish Barn-Raising Breakfast

- 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 (8-ounce) package crescent roll dough
- 10-ounces shredded potatoes, browned

Sesame Ginger Chicken

For the chicken marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken with the sesame oil, sugar, soy sauce and pepper
- CHICKEN MARINADE:
- 2 1/2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 6 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- STIR-FRY:
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- Vegetable or peanut oil
- 2 tablespoons minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 4 tablespoons Chinese Shoaxing rice wine
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
- 1 tablespoon sambal(Siracha can be substituted chili sauce)
- 1 tablespoon Thai chili sauce
- 1 lemon, zest and juice
- Toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
- Scallions, thinly sliced on an angle, for garnish
- Rice, for serving
- NOTES:
- Shaoxing wine is a type of Chinese rice wine. Made from fermented rice, Shaoxing wine is an essential ingredient in Chinese cuisine. It tastes much like dry sherry, which can be used as a substitute.
Slow Cooker Smothered Pork Chops

Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels, then season both sides with salt and pepper
- 4 bone-in pork chops, about 3/4 inch thick seasoned with salt and pepper on each side
- 4 slices bacon, cut into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons canola oil
- 1 large yellow onion, cut into 1/2 inch thick slices
- 1/4 cup water plus 2 tablespoons water, divided
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 3 cups low-sodium chicken stock
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Easy Balsamic Pork Chops

- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 -inch ginger, peeled
- 1 garlic clove, peeled
- 1 sprig of fresh rosemary
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- salt and pepper, to taste
