Gingerbread Waffles

1. With an electric mixer, beat the eggs until they're light and fluffy, about 2 minutes
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 3 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- 1 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Roasted Asparagus with Egg and Tomato

- 1 pound thin asparagus, woody ends trimmed
- 1/2 cup cherry or grape tomatoes, halved
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar, optional

- 1-2 lbs stew meat, chopped

Mmmm, we've been making this Cranberry Tart every year for Thanksgiving since we discovered it
- 1 prepared piecrust (such as Pillsbury)
- 2 (4 ounce) logs cinnamon-cranberry goat cheese
- 6 tablespoons plus 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 (12 ounce) bag cranberries
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Dark Chocolate Cherry Brownies

1. In a blender, puree beets with liquid until smooth, scraping down sides with a spatula as needed
- 4 ounces cooked peeled whole beets (about 2), chopped, plus 1 Tbsp. liquid from package

- 2 pounds beef chuck, cut into 2-inch pieces

- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1/2 baby carrots
- 2 parsnips (about 3/4 lb), peeled and cut into 2-inch pieces
- 2 turnips (about 1/2 lb), peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces
