BRING WATER TO A BOIL AND ADD CLOVES
- 6 CUPS WATER
- 12 WHOLE CLOVES
- 6 TEA BAGS
- 2 CUPS PINEAPPLE JUICE
- JUICE OF 2 LEMONS
- GRATED LEMON RIND FROM 1 LEMON
- 1 CUP FRESH ORANGE JUICE
- 1 TBL GRATED ORANGE RIND
- 1 TSP GROUND CINNAMON
- 1 CUP SUGAR
Lemon Cream Cheese Bars

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)

- (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent roll dough (such as Pillsbury® Recipe Creations®),
- divided 2 lemons, zested and juiced,
- divided 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons white sugar

- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup flour

- 1/2 cup butter, melted (1/2 cup)
Southern Cornbread Stuffing-Paula Dean

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- Cornbread, recipe follows
- 7 slices oven-dried white bread
- 1 sleeve saltine crackers
- 8 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups celery, chopped
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 7 cups chicken stock
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon sage (optional)
- 1 tablespoon poultry seasoning (optional)
- 5 eggs, beaten
Creamy Corn Polenta

Bring the broth, 2 1/2 cups water, butter and 1 teaspoon salt to a boil in a heavy, large saucepan over high heat
- 2 1/2 cups low-salt chicken broth (preferably organic)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Kosher salt
- 1 cup polenta (Italian cornmeal) or regular cornmeal
- 1 cup frozen corn kernels, thawed

- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 pound processed cheese food, cubed
- pickled jalapeno pepper slices, to taste (optional)

Directions Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 cup vegetable shortening, cold, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 1/2 to 2 cups buttermilk, plus additional for brushing
Amish Macaroni Salad

In a large bowl, stir together the eggs, onion, celery, red pepper, and relish
- Vegetable mixture:
- 2 cups cooked macaroni (Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, with plenty of salted water, drain and rinse in cold water)
- 1 small onion, chopped ( I used Walla Walla Sweet Onions or Vidalia)
- 3 hard-cooked eggs, chopped
- 3 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 small red bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 2 tablespoons dill pickle relish
- For Dressing:
- 2 cups creamy salad dressing ( I used Miracle Whip)
- 3 tablespoons prepared yellow mustard
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 1/4 teaspoons white vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon celery seed
