- two 3 pound corned beef (brisket or round)
- 2 bottles of beer
- one whole garlic clove peeled
- 1/4 cup of whole pepper corns
- two bay leaves
- one of the seasoning packs

Salmon Tacos on the grill

- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus additional for brushing
- 1 tablespoon lime juice plus lime wedges, for garnish
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon coarse salt, plus additional for sprinkling
- Four 6-ounce skinless salmon fillets
- 1 red bell pepper, ribs and seeds removed, cut into thin strips
- 1 yellow bell pepper, ribs and seeds removed, cut into thin strips
- 1 large red onion, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch slices

In a large pot, add the crushed tomatoes, garlic, onion, celery, carrots, salt, pepper and bay leaves
- 2 32-ounce cans crushed tomatoes
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 medium onion, peeled and left whole
- 2 stalks celery, cut in half
- 2 carrots, peeled and cut in half
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 2 dried bay leaves
- 2 to 3 tablespoons butter, at room temperature
- 5 fresh basil leaves
- 1 pound fusilli pasta
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
