"This is a very easy recipe that I learned when I was living in England
- 2 1/2 pounds beef tenderloin
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1/2 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 ounces liver pate
- 2 tablespoons butter, softened
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (17.5 ounce) package frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg yolk, beaten
- 1 (10.5 ounce) can beef broth
- 2 tablespoons red wine
- Can do these individually, too.
Bacon Pancakes with Baked Tomatoes

Can't decide if you want eggs or pancakes? Have both with this dish
- For the Bacon Pancakes:
- 2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1/4 cup butter (melted)
- 6 pieces bacon (cook and fat reserved)
- For the Spicy Maple Syrup:
- 2 cups maple syrup-hot sauce (to taste)
- For the Baked Tomatoes:
- 3 on-vine tomatoes (halved)
- 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup parsley (minced)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt and pepper (to taste)
- For the Poached Eggs:
- 6 eggs
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 2 quart water
Chicken and Dumplings

- 1 Organic Whole Chicken
- Coarse Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon Unsalted Butter

Blender Hollandaise Sauce

"The easiest way to get perfect Hollandaise is to use a blender
- 3 egg yolks
- 1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce (e.g. Tabasco™) or cayenne, or favorite hot sauce(Rooster-Asian?)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- can add extra lemon juice, leave out the mustard, add dill or tarragon.
