Jamaican-Style Beef Stew

- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 1/2 lbs boneless beef top sirloin steaks, cut into 3/4 inch cubes
- 5 plum tomatoes, finely chopped
- 3 large carrots, cut into 1/2 inch slices
- 3 celery ribs, cut into 1/2 inch slices
- 4 green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup barbecue sauce
- 3/4 cup reduced-sodium beef broth
- 1/4 cup reduced sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons steak sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- hot cooked rice (optional) or mashed potatoes (optional)
Peanut Butter Toffee Cheesecake Brownies

Heat oven to 350°F. Lightly spray 13x9-inch pan with Crisco® Original No-Stick Cooking Spray
- 1 box (19.5 oz) Chocolate Fudge Brownie Mix
- 1/2 cup Pure Vegetable Oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 Eggs
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 can (14 oz) Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1 bag (8 oz) milk chocolate toffee bits
- 1 cup milk chocolate baking chips
- 3 tablespoons whipping cream
CINNAMON LOAF

1. Cream together shortening, sugar, and vanilla -- cream again
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup sour milk
- NOTE: To make sour milk use 1 Tbsp vinegar or lemon juice to 1 cup milk. Let stand 15 minutes.
MEATBALLS

Mix. Fry with oil. Add to sauce and cook
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1/2 pound ground veal
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 4 eggs
- bread crumbs
- parm cheese
- fresh garlic
- parlsey
- salt & pepper
- water if dry
CARAMEL APPLE BARS

1. Heat over to 350. Grease 15x10x1 inch baking pan
- BASE AND TOPPING
- 2 cups flour
- 2 cups quick cooking rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 1/4 cups margarines or butter, melted
- FILLING
- 1 1/2 cups caramel ice cream topping
- 1/2 cup flour
- 2 cups coarsely chopped peeled apples
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS

Boil. Add to meatballs and cook in oven for 1 hour or put in slow cooker
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp flour
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/2 water
- 2 Tbsp soya sauce
- 1 Tbs ketchup

- 1 pkg (10 oz) sweetened frozen raspberries, undrained
