- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

- 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar

1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil
- 1 (16 ounce) package dry ziti pasta
- 1 pound lean ground beef/Italian Sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 (28 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
- 6-8 ounces sliced provolone cheese
- 6-8 ounces sliced mozzarella cheese
- 1 1/2 cups sour cream/Ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 1 to 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 can (14-1/2 ounces) diced tomatoes, undrained
- 1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (4 ounces) mushroom stems and pieces, drained or 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
