- For the caramel:
- 4 cups blanched almond flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 eggs
- 3/4 cup unsweetened, full-fat coconut milk
- 1 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup salted grass-fed, pastured butter
- 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1 cup full fat, unsweetened coconut milk
- dash of salt
- For the optional chocolate ganache:
- 2 cup Enjoy Life chocolate chips
- 1 cup full fat, unsweetened coconut milk

- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 medium garlic cloves, minced or pressed through a garlic press (about 4 teaspoons)
- 2 anchovy fillets, rinsed and minced
- 1 teaspoon minced fresh thyme leaves or 1/4 teaspoon dried
- 3 tablespoons unbleached all-purpose paleo flour
- ¼ cup dry white wine
- 3 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 3 cups vegetable broth
- 2 parsnips, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 bay leaves
