- Icing:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 tbsp molasses
- 2 tsps vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs, divided
- 1 1/4 cups Whole-wheat pastry flour
- 1 cup, 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp whole milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
