Flaky Pie Crust

ITS FLAKY YUMMY TASTY
- 1 1/2 cups White Lily® Enriched Bleached All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening, or Butter Flavored Shortening, chilled in freezer
- OR 1/2 stick Crisco® Baking Sticks All-Vegetable Shortening, or Butter Flavored Shortening Sticks, chilled in freezer
- 4 to 8 tablespoons ice cold water or milk
- DOUBLE CRUST PIE
- 2 cups White Lily® Enriched Bleached All Purpose Flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2/3 cup Crisco® All-Vegetable Shortening, or Butter Flavored Shortening, chilled in freezer
- OR 2/3 stick Crisco® Baking Sticks All-Vegetable Shortening, or Butter Flavored Shortening Sticks, chilled in freezer
- 5 to 10 tablespoons ice cold water or milk
Onion Bombs

Peel your onions and cut them in half as equally as possible
- large onions
- ground meat (I prefer turkey!!)
- seasonings to taste ( could use any good seasoning blend!)
Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes with Bacon

Slice onions into rings. Rinse potatoes; drain then thinly slice
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cup milk
- 1 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp course-ground black pepper
- 1 Tbsp parsley flakes
- 1 tsp hot sauce
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 5-6 red or Yukon gold potatoes, peeled and sliced thin
- 2 cups cheddar cheese, divided
- 3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/2 tsp paprika, sweet mild
Crushed Cheesy Potatoes

Wash potatoes well and place in salted water
- 4 smaller potatoes (red, yellow, whatever)
- 1 TBS olive oil
- 1 garlic clove
- 1 TBS chives
- salt
- pepper
- 2 TBS grated cheese(any kind you like...I used Pepper Jack)
- 1 TBS Parmesan
- any other herbs and spices you like
Pumpkin Pie Cake

Make the Pumpkin Filling: Whisk all the ingredients for the pumpkin filling in a large bowl until smooth
- 1 (15-oz.) can unsweetened pumpkin purée
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 1/2 c. heavy cream
- 1/2 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp. pumpkin spice
- 1 c. (2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature, plus more for the pan
- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled, plus more for the pan
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- 1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs, at room temperature
- 2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1 c. whole milk
- Confectioners' sugar, for decorating
Stuffed Bagel Sandwiches

Start by cutting your bagel down the middle and remove most of the extra breading inside to form a ring
- 1 large bagel, or 2 small bagels
- 1/4 cup whipped cream cheese
- 2 TB dill relish
- 2 large slices of salami, diced
- 4 baby carrots, diced
- a pinch of salt and pepper (pinch = about 1/8 tsp)
- (a pinch of garlic powder is also fabulous for you garlic lovers!)
Christmas Chocolate Cherry Cookies

This is a great recipe for a christmas cookie
- 1 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cups coconut
- 1 1/2 cups chopped maraschino cherries
Sausage Rolls

In large bowl, mix together pork, onion, garlic, savory, thyme, paprika and pepper
- 1 lb frozen pork sausage meat, thawed
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 clove of garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried savory
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp sweet paprika
- 1 pinch pepper
- 1 egg

French Onion Soup

Preheat the oven to 400F Generously grease the inside of a large Dutch oven with nonstick cooking spray
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, divided evenly into 3 pieces
- 6 lg yellow onions, halfed & cut root to stem into 1/4" slices
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- salt
- 2 cups water, plus extra
- 1/2 cup dry sherry
- 1/3 cup dry red wine
- 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth
- 2 cups beef broth
- 6 sprigs fresh thyme, tied together with twine
- 1 bay leaf
- black pepper
- baguette slices cut 1/2" thick (1 per bowl).
- 8 oz shredded Gruyere cheese

- 2 lbs yellow potatoes,
- 1 can cream of mushroom, chicken or celery soup
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- black pepper to taste
- 1 small onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
