Donuts: Dunkin' Donuts

In a medium bowl, dissolve the yeast in the warm water
- Donuts:
- One 1/4-ounce pkg. active dry yeast
- 2 Tbsp. warm water
- 3/4 cup warm milk (30 seconds in the microwave)
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 egg
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 cups vegetable oil
- Glaze:
- 5 1/3 Tbsp. (1/3 cup) butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup hot water
- For Chocolate Glaze:
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Waffles: Oatmeal Waffles with Brown Sugar and Bananas

- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted, or 1/2 cup canola oil
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour
- 3/4 cup rolled oats
- 3 tablespoons firmly packed golden brown sugar, plus 2-3 tablespoons brown sugar for sprinkling
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 large ripe banana, chopped in 1/4-inch dice

Rigatoni with Beef and Onion Ragu

- 1 lb boneless beef chuck eye roast, cut into 4 pieces and trimmed

- 2 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, smashed
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red chile flakes
- 1 14-oz. can crushed tomatoes
- 6 basil leaves, torn in half
- Kosher salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup fresh bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup grated pecorino
- 1/3 cup grated mozzarella

- 1/2 Tbsp. sugar

- 3/4 tsp. italian seasoning
