- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Vanilla Extract
- 1 LAND O LAKES® Egg
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup Jif® Creamy Peanut Butter
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup Reese's® peanut butter chips
- 1/4 cup Hershey’s® semi-sweet chocolate baking chips

Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt in a bowl
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 c sugar
- 2 tbs bitter softened
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 tsp lemon extract
- 1/3 c lemon juice
- 1/2 c oil (recommend coconut oil)
- Lemon Icing
- 1 c powdered sugar plus 1 tbs
- 2 tbs whole milk, I used 2%
- 1/2 tsp lemon extract

- FOR PASTRY BASE:
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/8 teaspoon salt

- 4 1/2 pounds Gala Apples, fresh
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons whole butter; cut up into pieces
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/3 teaspoon vanilla bean paste

- Toffee is just equal parts butter, sugar with a pinch of sea salt. I use dark brown sugar but Muscovado, Demerara, & Turbinado would be delicious too. Raw sugar may not liquefy like white sugar but I like the idea of a little crunch to it.
