- 1 1/2 c mashed, ripe bananas (about 4)
- 1/4 c sugar
- 1/4 c brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 c unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 c milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 1/2 c all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 t instant espresso powder
- 1 1/2 t baking soda
- 1 t salt
- 1/2 c semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 c walnuts, roughly chopped
AUTUMN PORK STEW WITH BEER

1. Season the pork with salt and pepper
- 2 pounds boneless pork shoulder, cut in 1 1/2-inch bits

- 6 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 medium onions, diced
- 4 medium carrots, diced
- 2 medium apples, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons finely minced garlic
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 cup diced canned or fresh tomatoes
- 2 cups chicken broth (bouillon)
- 1 bottle (12 ounces) beer
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar

SPICY PASTA SALAD WITH SMOKED GOUDA, TOMATOES AND BASIL

Directions Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil
