Pickled Musroom

In a glass bowl, combine the first seven ingredients
- 2/3 cup tarragon vinegar
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 T water
- 1 T sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 garlic clove minced
- Dash hot pepper sauce
- 1 pound fresh mushrooms
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced into rings
- Finely diced sweet red pepper
Karen Bryant Spinach N Strawberry Salad

Heat over to 350 degrees. Wash, trim and dry spinach
- 12 oz bag fresh spinach
- 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1/4 cup safflower oil
- 2 tablespoons salad vinegar (red wine)
- 1-2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons minced onion
- 1 tsp salt
- dash of pepper
- dash of tabasco sauce
- 1 pint strawberries, cleaned, hulled and sliced
Cherry Crumble Pie

1. For Crust: Blend flour, sugar and salt in processor 5 seconds
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons chilled vegetable shortening, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
- 2 tablespoons (or more) ice water
- 1 large egg yolk
- Filling
- 6 cups fresh cherries, pitted, or 2 pounds frozen pitted sweet cherries, thawed, juices reserved
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 1/2 tablespoons quick-cooking tapioca
- 1 tablespoon kirsch (clear cherry brandy) or brandy
- Pinch of salt
- Topping
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons old-fashioned oats
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 cup (packed) golden brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
Napa Cabbage Salad

Saute crunched up noodles in 2 tablespoons butter until brown
- Dressing:
- 1 large head Napa cabbage chopped
- 2 bunches green onions
- 2 pkgs Ramen Noodles - no flavor packets
- 4 tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3/4 cup oil
- 1/2 cup red wine or white wine vinegar. (can use raspberry vinegar)
- Boil about 3 minutes.
Baked Shrimp Scampi

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 T shallots, chopped
- 1 tsp capers
- 1 T lemon rind, grated
- 1/2 tsp parsley, chopped
- 1 dash hot pepper sauce
- 1 dash Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- 1 pound medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 cup Panko bread crumbs
- Lemon wedges
Karan Gilmore Potato Salad Harbert

Prepare the day before: 1
- 2 lbs new potatoes
- 1/2 cup thinly sliced bermuda onions
- 1 8 oz carton chive cottage cheese
- 9 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- Fresh grand pepper
- Cayenne pepper
Oven-Barbecued Spareribs

Place ribs in a single layer in large baking pans
- 10 pounds pork spareribs, cut into serving-size pieces
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 cup finely chopped celery
- 2 cups ketchup
- 1 cup apple juice
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup ground mustard
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar
- 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Garlic-Herb Potato Nests

- 2 cups grated peeled potatoes, drained and squeezed dry
- 1 egg white, lightly beaten
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1/3 cup garlic-herb cheese spread
- Fresh dill springs
Waldorf Salad with Lime Dressing

Pour dressing over salad and mix
- Dressing: Combine:
- 2 T lime juice
- 2 tsp Dijon mustard
- 1-2 T Olive oil
- Combine:
- 2-4 small apples, cut into small pieces
- 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1 celery stalk, chopped
Crab Dip

- 1 can Alaskan King Crab
- 1 8 ounce creamed cheese
- 2 T dry onion
- 1 T horseradish
- 1 T milk
