  • 1 medium sweet red pepper, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 large butternut squash (about 5 pounds), peeled, seeded and cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 (16-ounce) package frozen corn, divided
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon chicken base
  • 2 (15.5-ounce) cans great northern beans, rinsed and drained
  • 2 (14.5-ounce) cans fire-roasted diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • Heavy whipping cream and minced fresh parsley (Optional)

  • Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups sifted cake flour (for best results, sift 3 times before using.)

  • 1 cup water
  • 3 heaping tablespoons plain flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 sticks margarine or butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond flavoring
