Potatoes, Candied Sweet with mandarin orange

- -5 med. Sweet potatoes, cooked and peeled
- Mandarin orange liquid
- 1/3 cup syrup
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup orange juice
- pinch of salt
- 1 can mandarin oranges drained (save liquid)
- 1/3 cup shredded coconut (optional)
- Brown sugar
- Butter
Aunt Glad’s Heavenly Angel Food Cake

- 1 3/4 cups egg white at room temperature ( about 12 – 14 eggs)
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- Add salt and beat until frothy.
- When frothy add 1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- Beat until bubbles are small and white and shiny (just holding shape a little, not until stiff and standing alone). Don’t overbeat.
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 cup cake flour, or 1 cup sifted all purpose white flour – 2 Tbsp.
- Fold half the sugar into the beaten egg whites, a tablespoon at a time. Sift the rest of the sugar with the flour 4 times, and fold into the meringue, with spatula and handle gently.
- Pour into 10 inch ungreased angel food (or bundt) pan.
- Bake in slow oven 325degrees for 1 hour, turning a little hotter, 350, for last 15 min. to brown.
Turkey Wild Rice Casserole

Cook wild rice mix according to package directions
- Turkey Wild Rice Caserole
- $ 6 oz. pkg. long grain and wild rice
- 2 cups cooked cut up turkey
- #10 - oz. can cream of mushroom soup
- (1/4 cup green pepper)
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- par-broiled broccoli
- a few slivered almonds
Chili (without kidney beans)

Chili (without kidney beans) -Kerry Ann, Eric Serves 8
- 1 ¼ chopped onions
- 1 c. each red and green pepper
- ¾ c each celery and carrots
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 Tbsp chilli powder
- 1 ½ c. mushrooms
- 1 cup cubed zucchini
- 1 can 28 oz tomatoes undrained and cut up
- 1 can 19 oz black beans, drained, rinsed
- 1 can 19 oz chick peas, drained, rinsed
- 1 can 12 oz kernel corn, undrained
- 1 Tbsp cumin
- 1 ½ tsp each: oregano, dried basil
- ½ tsp cayenne
Chicken and Shrimp stir fry with veges, snow peas

4 chicken breast halves 8 oz
- Skin and bone chicken breasts; cut in 3 inch strips. Marinate chicken pieces and shrimp for 30 min. in mixture of soy sauce, sherry, ginger, and garlic.
- Heat oil in wok or large fry pan. Add chicken and shrimp. Stir-fry over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add broccoli, onions, celery, green pepper, and chicken broth. Cover and steam until nearly tender, stirring often. Add mushrooms and peas; stir-fry or steam 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add tomatoes, chicken and shrimp. Cover briefly to steam until hot.
- Salt to taste.

1 1/4 cup 7 or 9 grain organic 2 1/2 cup boiling water - stir Allow to cool to 100 degrees F
- 1 1/4 cup 7 (orgs) grain cereal
- 2 1/2 cup boiling water - stir
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp yeast
- 7 1/2 oz wholewheaat flour
- 15 oz white flour
- Optional.
- 1 tsp liquid licethin
- 1 tsp gluten
- 1 tsp whey powder
- add 1 tsp salt
- Add 3/4 cup seeds (lsunflower, pumpkin etc.)
Parsnip Soup

- 1/3 cup unsalted butter
- 4 medium parsnips, peeled and diced (1/2 inch or 1 cm)
- 3/4 cup diced onions
- 1 sprig fresh thyme
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- Freshly ground pepper to taste
- 5 1/2 cups chicken or vegetable stock
- 1/4 c. rice and 2/3 c. whipping cream
- Or
- 1/3 c. rice and 2/3 c. milk
- Finely chopped fresh chives or parsley for garnish, optional
- Can add a few drops of Tabasco (20)

- 2 Tbsp. dry sherry

- 1 clove garlic crushed
- 1-2 Tbasp. cooking oil
- &2 cups fresh broccoli in small pieces
- 8 tiny onion or 2 larger quartered
- 1 cup diagonally sliced celery
- 1 small green pepper, cut in squares
- 1/4 cup chicken broth
- l cup sliced fresh mushrooms a few snow peas
- 8 cherry tomatoes halved
