Strawberry Chiffon Squares

My original recipe has an alternative 'green' version which has pineapple and whatever turns it a green colour
- Ingredients:
- A light fluffy cloud of temptation, bursting with the taste of strawberries.
- Preparation Time: 15 minutes plus chilling time
- Makes: 12 squares
- 1 1/2 cups (375 mL) vanilla or graham wafer crumbs
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) butter, melted
- 1 pkg (3 oz /85 g) strawberry-flavoured gelatin
- 3/4 cup (175 mL) boiling water
- 1 can (300 mL) Regular or Low Fat Eagle Brand® sweetened condensed milk
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) lemon juice
- 1 Pkg(10 oz /284g) frozen sliced strawberries, thawed, not drained
- 3 cups (750 mL) miniature marshmallows
- 1 cup (250 mL) whipping cream, whipped
Broccoli Salad

Add dressing to other mixture, and let sit in fridge

- 4 c. chopped broccoli
- ½ cup raisins
- ¼ cup chopped red onion
- 1 cup sunflower seeds (best added later)
- ½ c. dried cranberries
- ½ cup mayonnaise, plain yoghurt, sour cream combination
- 1 Tbsp. Vinegar
- 3 -4 Tbsp. Sugar
Bean or Carrot Casserole

Cook the beans or carrots until almost done
- Topping:
- about 6 servings
- about 4 c. cut up beans or carrots
- 2Tbsp butter
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp sugar
- 2 Tbsp flour
- ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 c. sour cream
- 2 Tbsp. Melted butter
- ¾ c. dry bread crumbs or corn flakes or rice crispies
- ½ lb. Cheddar cheese grated
Corn Beef Mousse , Eileen Trott

In a saucepan, combine soup and cream cheese
- 1 tin mushroom soup
- 1 - 250 gram pkg. Cream cheese
- 1 envelope knox gelatine
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green onion
- 1 cup salad dressing
- 3/4 - 1 tin Herford Corn beef flaked with a fork
- 1 tsp. curry powder
spicey Peanut Sauce ( Kerry Ann)

Brown onions with bay leaf
- Spicy Peanut Sauce
- – Kerry Ann
- (4-6 persons)
- 2 Tbsp veg oil (prefer peanut oil)
- 2 cups chopped onion
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp. cayenne (or to taste)
- 1 tsp ground coriander seeds
- 2-3 c. veg. Stock, coconut milk or water
- 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice or white vinegar
- 2 c. peanut butter
- Salt to taste
- 1-2 Tbsp honey or brown sugar
Poulet aux Fromage

Prepare sauce: Saute onion, pepper, mushrooms in butter

- 8 oz pkg wide noodles
- 3 cups diced cooked chicken
- (used 3 breasts)
- 2 cups grated cheddar cheese
- 1 ½ - 2 cups cottage cheese
- ½ c. parmesan cheese
- Mushroom Sauce
- 1 c. chopped onion (used green)
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- ½ lb. sliced mushrooms
- 1 c. green (I used red) pepper chopped
- ¼ cup sliced pimento
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1/3 cup milk
- ½ tsp. Basil
Carrot Sauce Mom

Place all ingredients in measuring cup and heat in microwave to blend flavours
- 2 Tbsp. Butter
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 1/8 tsp. ginger
- 1 Tbsp. Chopped or 1 tsp. dried parsley
- 2 Tbsp. Honey
- Salt & pepper
Salad Greek Pasta

- Dressing:
- 2 cups uncooked pasta
- 1 can drained kidney beans
- 1 can white kidney beans or chick peas
- Or for last 2, use 1 large can 5—6 beans
- 3 green onions chopped
- 1 small green pepper chopped
- ½ cucumber or zucchini cut in chunks
- ½ c. black olives
- 4 oz. Feta cheese cut in small pieces
- 12 cherry tomatoes halved
- 1 Tbsp. Red wine vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. Lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp. dried oregano
- ½ tsp. salat
- Pepper
- 2/3 cup olive oil
Beef Stroganoff Joan Johnson

Roll meat in flour; brown in hot fat in pan
- 2 lb. Round steak (3/4 inch cubes)
- ¼ c. flour
- ½ c. chopped onion
- 1 minced clove garlic
- 1- 6 oz. can mushrooms and liquid
- 2 Tbsp. Fat
- 1 c. sour cream
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 2 c. cooked rice
Maple Walnut Squares (in French)
