Pretzel Salad

- 2 1/4 c pretzels, crushed to size of broken pecans
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 3/4 c melted butter
- 1 large pkg strawberry Jell-o
- 2 cups water
- 1 lb frozen strawberries
- 8 oz pkg cream cheese
- 3/4 c sugar
- 9 oz cool whip
Tortellini with Butter and Cream Sauce

In a large saucepan, simmer over moderate heat 1/6 c heavy cream and butter for less than 1 minute
- 1/3 c heavy cream
- 3 tbsp butter
- 7 oz tortellini, cooked
- 1/2 c grated parmesan cheese
- fresh pepper
Caramel Apple Salad

- 1 small pkg instant butterscotch pudding
- 8 oz Cool Whip
- 3 Granny Smith apples, paired and diced
- 8 oz can crushed pineapple with juice
- 1 c dry roasted peanuts, chopped
- 1 c mini marshmallows
Italian Style Grilled Pork

Prepare a charcoal grill with hot coals or heat gas grill to HIGH
- 1/4 c olive oil
- 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tbsp packed fresh rosemary leaves
- 2 tbsp packed fresh basil leaves
- 4 boneless 1" thick pork chops (about 5 oz each)
- 3 medium-size ripe tomatoes, quartered
- 3/4 c instant polenta
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp heavy cream OR milk
- 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 c water
Cabbage Salad

Chopped cabbage. Melt butter in pan
- 1 head Savoy cabbage
- 1/4 c butter
- 2 packages Oriental flavor Ramen noodles
- 1 c slivered almonds
- 1/3 c sesame seeds
- 1 c vegetable oil
- 1/2 c balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp soy sauce
- 2/3 c sugar
Decorative Dough

Preheat oven to 325-350. Combine salt and flour in large, flat bottom bowl
- 2 c all purpose flour
- 1 c morton salt
- 1 c water
- egg
- sesame and/or poppy seeds
Chili

Combine and fry beef, garlic, onion, celery and green pepper lightly
- 2 lbs. ground beef
- 1 clove minced garlic (opt.)
- 1 C. minced onion
- 1 C. chopped celery
- 1/2 C. chopped green pepper (opt.)
- pinch pepper
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 TBS chili powder
- 1 TBS paprika
- 1 tsp. ginger
- 1 TBS sugar
- 1 6oz. can tomato paste
- 1 8oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 1lb. 4 oz. can tomatoes
- (I substitute these last 2 with 29 oz. puree and 15 oz. tomato sauce)
- 1/2 C. water
- 2 1lb. 4oz. cans of kidney beans
- 2 TBS. flour
- 3 TBS. water
Mexican Wedding Cakes

Preheat oven to 400. Cream shortening
- 1/2 c butter or margarine
- 1/2 c shortening
- 6 tbsp sugar
- 2 c flour
- 1 c nuts, finely chopped
- 1 tsp vanilla
Quick and Easy Grilling Sauce

Combine all ingredients. Brush onto meat, poultry, fish, fruit, or vegetables prior to grilling
- 2 tbsp packed brown sugar
- 2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 2 tbsp orange juice
- 2 tbsp ketchup
