Curried Cauliflower Soup

In a saucepan, heat oil over medium heat
- 1 tbsp safflower oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1 stalk celery, diced
- 2 tsp mild curry paste
- ½ tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- ¼ cup long grain white rice
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 2 cups water
- 4 cups cauliflower, chopped
- sea salt and pepper to taste
- chives, parsley or cilantro for garnish if desired
- yogurt or sour cream if desired
Sugar Free Blueberry Pie

1. Recipe says make enough pastry dough for a 9 inch double crust pie then put it in the refrigerator over night
- 9 inches double crust, pie
- 1 egg
- 1 tablespoon water
- 5 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 3/4 cups Splenda sugar substitute
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 dash salt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, cut in small pieces
Banana Chip Bars

Mix flour, oats, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt; set aside
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup Quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1 tsp Baking powder
- 1/2 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/4 cup margarine, softened
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup mashed ripe banana
- 1/2 cup SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
- 1/3 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/4 tsp salt
Strawberry Frozen Yogurt

Directions: 1. Place the sliced strawberries in large bowl with the sugar
- Ingredients:
- 1 pound strawberries, rinsed, hulled, and sliced
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (I used Chobani)
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Rouladen

This is a traditional German dish
- 3 pounds beef round steak
- All-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 large onion, diced
- 6 bacon slices
- Vegetable oil
- 3/4 cup dry red or white wine
- Water
Bubba-Q Sauce

Combine all ingredients in a medium pot
- 2 Cups Ketchup
- 1/2 Cup White vinegar
- 1/2 Cup Molasses
- 1 Tsp Seasoning Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Allspice
- 1 Teaspoon Chili powder
- 1 Teaspoon Paprika
- 1/2 Teaspoon Hot sauce
- 1/2 Cup Brown sugar
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/2 Teaspoon Mace
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 Tsp White or Black pepper
Two Hour Buns

Mix 2 Tbsp of sugar with warm water and add yeast, put aside in a warm location to activate (10 to 15 minutes)
- 8 Cups Flour
- 8 Tbsp Sugar
- 1 Tsp Salt
- 2 Eggs
- 6 Tbsp Oil
- 2 Tbsp Quick Rising Yeast
- 3 Cups Warm Water
Chocolate, Banana & Peanut Butter Rolls

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C)
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 sliced ripe bananas
- 4 tbsp (60 mL) SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener, Granulated
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) peanut butter
- 6 phyllo dough sheets, thawed
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) melted butter, to baste the dough with
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) chopped walnuts
Splenda Shortbread Recipe

Mix flour with Splenda. Cream in softened butter
- 3 Cup flour
- 1 1/2 Cup Splenda
- 2 Cup Butter
- 2 Tsp. Vanilla
Pork Butt Rub

Combine together and store in an airtight container
- 1 cup kosher salt
- ½ cup black pepper
- ½ cup paprika
- ¼ cup granulated onion
- ¼ cup granulated garlic
- ¼ cup chili powder
- Now add some heat if you wish ... cayenne, chipotle or your own favourite.
- Finish with cumin, ginger, rosemary, sage; the list goes on ....... remember that these last additions should be done carefully; all of these flavours really come out in the finished product.
