Pat turkey dry. Sprinkle with poultry seasoning and pepper
- 1 turkey (14 to 16 pounds)
- 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup minced fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh thyme or 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh rosemary or 1 teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 4-1/2 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth, divided
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

- 2 peeled avocados
- 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
- 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
- 9 " graham cracker crust
- whipped cream
Ultra Green Smoothie

- 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 2 cups organic spinach
- 1/2 avocado, frozen
- 1/2 banana, frozen
- 2 tbsp hemp hearts or hemp seeds

Sesame Ginger Dressing

- Makes 1/2 cup
- 6 Tbsp cold-pressed Sesame Oil
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Aminos
- 1 Tbsp Birch Xylitol
- 1 Tbsp Sesame Seed
- 1 clove Garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp grated Ginger
- 1/2 tsp Lime zest
- 1/4 tsp Grind to a Salt
Pecan Pie Brownies

Preheat the oven to 350ºF and grease two 9-inch cake pans with cooking spray
- For the brownie batter:
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/4 cups baking cocoa
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee mixed with 2 teaspoons water
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- For the pecan pie topping:
- 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 2 cups pecans (whole or chopped)
- Special Equipment: two (9-inch) round cake pans

Combine 1/4 cup of your sourdough start with two cups of flour, 1 1/2 cups of water, and 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup sourdough start (which is the flour and water together: read above)
- two cups of flour + more for the well-floured surface
- 1 1/2 cups of water
- 1 t salt (update 10/30/12** I now use 2 t salt)

Dice onion. Heat in semi- large soup pot with a little of the broth, on medium high heat and sauté the diced onion...
- 2 x 15 oz. cans of blacks beans (drained and washed)
- 2 x 15 oz. cans of pumpkin puree
- 1x carton of organic low sodium chicken broth (4 cups) OR homemade stock
- 1 x medium yellow onion, diced
- 2-3 tbsp. of Xylitol
- 1 tbsp. cumin (or more to taste)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Amish Inspired Cabbage Dinner

Adzuki Bean Brownies

Now to the good stuff….these brownies are a bit labor intensive, but they are worth it
- 1/3 cup sprouted spelt flour
- 1/4 cup ground flaxseed
- 5 TBSP raw cacao powder
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp ground coffee or coffee substitute (I use an herbal substitute called Teecino)
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp sea salt
- 1 15oz can adzuki beans – rinsed and drained
- 1/3 cup coconut oil
- 1/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce
- 1 cage free egg – beaten
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
