"A delicious chicken pot pie made from scratch with carrots, peas, and celery for a comfort food classic
- 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halves - cubed
- 1 cup sliced carrots
- 1 cup frozen green peas
- 1/2 cup celery
- 1/3 cup butter
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
- 1 3/4 cups chicken broth
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 (9 inch) unbaked pie crusts

Apple pie filling bakes up beautifully inside a hollowed out Apple
- 8 medium Granny Smith apples, or Honeycrisp Apple
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup Apple cider
- 1 Tbsp maple syrup
- 4 oz. Frozen pie crust, thawed, or refrigerated pie crust
- 1/2 tsp all-purpose flour

- 3/4 stick Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening Sticks or 3/4 cup Crisco All-Vegetable Shortening
- 1 1/4 cups firmly packed light brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 1 3/4 cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 (6 oz.) package semi-sweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
- 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans (optional)
MELBA'S CAKE

Sift cake flour, salt and baking powder together in bowl
- 2 cups sifted cake flour
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup Crisco
- 1 tsp. salt
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1 cup of milk
- 5 eggs
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Mexicali Quiche

Combine flour and 1/2 tsp
- 1 1/2 Cups All Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp. salt divided
- 1/2 stick (1/2 cup) well chilled Baking sticks All-Vegetable Shortening
- 4 Tbsp. ice cold water
- 2 tsp. Pure Vegetable Oil
- 1 cup sliced green onions
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 (5 oz.) can cooked chicken, drained and chopped
- 1 (4 oz.) can diced green chilies, drained
- 1/2 cup slice ripe olives
- 1 medium tomato, seeded ad chopped
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
FRUIT ORANGE DIP

Mix all together chill and use for fruit dip
- SPICE FRUIT DIP:
- 1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
- 1 Tbsp. orange juice
- 1 (7 oz.) marshmallow cream
- 8 oz. Philadelphia cream cheese
- 1 tsp. each cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger
- 1 (7 oz.) marshmallow cream
- 1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
FRESH RHUBARB PIE

1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F
- 4 cups chopped rhubarb
- 1 1/3 cups white sugar
- 6 tablespoons al-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon butter or margarine
- 1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch crust pie

1. Stir ingredients until blended
- 2 Cups Bisquick Mix
- 1 Cup Milk
- 2 eggs
PEACH COBBLER

Combine all ingredients in mixing bowl
- 2 cans (29 ounces each) sliced peaches in syrup, undrained - or canned peaches, frozen peaches and 2 cans (21 ounces) peach pie filling.
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
- 2 teaspoons ground nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 2 teaspoons lemon extract
- 2 Pie crusts from CAM's basic Pie crust recipe
CABBAGE SALAD

*Cabbage & Top Ramen*
- 1 * 1 Medium Cabbage cut thin
- 4 * 4 Green Onions Chopped
- 1/4 * 1/4 Cup Almonds (slivered)
- Mix all the above together
- *Top Ramen Noodles (smash up & add to salad)
- *DRESSING*
- 1/2 *1/2 cup Oil
- 1/4 *1/4 cup wine vinegar
- *Dash Salt & Pepper
- 1/4 *1/4 cup roasted sesame seeds
- Pour dressing over salad & toss. Let set a couple hours.
- *(Not over night - noodles will get soggy)*
