Pesto-Parmesan Hummus Dip

With food processor running, drop garlic into processor; process until minced
- 2 large garlic cloves
- 1 cup packed fresh basil
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 Tablespoons sesame seeds
- 1 (15 oz.) can garbanzo beans, drained, rinsed
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup hot water
- 3 Tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Ranch Cheeseburgers

Combine dressing mix with beef and cheese
- 1 packet (1 oz.) ranch dressing mix
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 large hamburger buns

Oven Fries with Herbs and Pecorino

1. Preheat the oven to 425F
- 2 large baking potatoes, cut into 4-by-1/2 inch sticks
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 large garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon each of minced sage and rosemary
- 1/4 cup freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese
- Salt and freshly ground pepper
Hawaiian Bread

Preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour 9x5x3-inch loaf pan
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 2/3 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. cardamom
- 1 cup crushed pineapple, drained
- 3 T. water, 3 T. oil, 2 tsp baking powder, mixed together
- 1/2 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup milk-free margarine, melted
Hot Spiced Cider

Add allspice, clove and cinnamon stick to the apple cider and let simmer for an hour (or longer)
- 1 gallon good apple cider
- 1 teaspoon allspice
- 1 clove
- 1 cinnamon stick

- 8 oz. softened cream cheese
- 1/4 c. canned pumpkin
- 2 Tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Carne Asada Tacos with Carrot-Pepper Slaw

1. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium high
- 1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- 1 clove garlic, finely grated
- 2 Tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro, plus leaves for topping
- 1 large white onion, cut into rings
- 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for brushing
- kosher salt
- 1 pound sirloin steak
- 4 medium carrots, shredded
- 1 large red bell pepper, cored, seeded, and grated
- 1 to 2 teaspoons jalapeno pepper (seeded for less heat)
- 3 Tablespoons fresh lime juice, plus lime wedges for serving
- 12 corn tortillas
Tex-Mex Salad

Whisk sour cream, lime juice, sugar and salt in a large bow
- 1/2 c sour cream
- 1 to 2 tbs lime juice
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/2 head shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/2 c chopped plum tomatoes
- 1/2 c chopped cilantro
- 1/2 c chopped scallion
- 1/2 c shredded cheddar cheese
Winter Sangria

- 3 bottles fruity red wine (Pinot Noir or Cabernet Sauvignon)
- 1 1/2 cups pomegranate juice
- 3/4 cup brandy
- 1/2 cup Triple Sec
- 4 pears (cored and thinly sliced)
- 2 oranges (thinly sliced)
- 2 liters black cherry soda
