Grilled Beef Tri-Tip with Asian Marinade

marinate overnight. Grill MARKET OF CHOICE
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup San J. Tamari Soy Sauce
- 1/2 cup unseasoned rice vinegar
- 1/4 cup dry sherry, sub.
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1 1/2 tsp. Kosher salt
- 3/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 1/8 cup ? pressed or minced fresh garlic
- 1/4 bunch green onions, thinly sliced
- 1/4 cup mirin (rice wine)
- 1 1/2 cup Sriracha Chili Sauce
- 3 lb. beef tri-tip steak
IF SOUP IS TOO SALTY

- If soup is too salty, add a tsp. each of cider vinegar and sugar or a whole peeled raw potato. Leave the potato in the soup and serve from around it.
VARIETIES OF VINAIGRETTE OR MARINADE

mix together
- TERIYAKI VINAIGRETTE OR STIR FRY SAUCE
- 1/4 UP CIDER VINEGAR, 3 T. WATER, 1/2 CUP OIL, 1TBP. SOY SAUCE, 1 TBS.
- BROWN SUGAR.
- DIJON V. OR MARINADE
- 1/4 CUP WHITE WINE VINEGAR, 3 T. WATER, 1/2 CUP OIL, 1 TSP. MUSTARD.
- GREEK V OR M.
- 1/4 CUP RED WINE VINEGAR, 3 TBP WATER, 1/4 CUP OLIVE OIL & 1/4 CUP VEGATABLE OIL, 1/4 CUP CRUMBLED FETA CHEESE, & 2 TB. CHOPPED RIPE OLIVES.
- RASPBERRY V. & m.
- 1/4 cup cider vinegar, 3 tbp. water, 1/2 cup oil, 2 tbsp. raspberry preserves.
Stuffed Peppers

Mix hamburger, egg, drained rice, fried onion, salt & pepper
- 1 lb. hamburger
- 1 egg
- 1 cup raw rice
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 4 peppers, cleaned
- V-8 juice
Milky Way Cake

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees
- Cake
- Confectioners' sugar, for dusting pans
- Eight 1 3/4 oz. Milky Way bars
- 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1 1/4 cups buttermild
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- ICING
- 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup evaporated milk
- 1 cup marshmallow cream
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 6 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Hot Fudge Sauce

Melt chocolate and butter in saucepan over very low heat
- one 4 oz. bar German chocolate
- 1/2 oz unsweetened chocolate
- 8 tbsp (1 stick) butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- 1 2/3 cups evaporated milk
- 1 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Horseradish Cream Sauce

1. Whip the heavy cream in a bowl until it forms soft peaks
- 3/4 cup heavy or whipping cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup prepared horseradish, drained
- 2 tbsp dijon mustard
- Pinch of sugar
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Sopaipillas

Combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tbsp. shortening
- 2/3 cup milk
- 2 cups hot salad oil
- Honey
- Cinnamon sugar
Stuffed Fresh Mushrooms

Wash and core mushrooms, reserving stems
- 1 lb. large mushrooms
- 1 qt. water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3-4 chopped green onions tops and all
- 3/4 cup beef bouillon
- 1 cup pepperidge farm seasoned crumbs
Hot Fudge Sauce

- May prepare ahead
- 2 1 oz. squares unsweetened chocolate
- 1 tbsp. butter
- 1/3 cup boiling water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp. corn syrup
- 3 tbsp. bourbon (sub something)
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans, optional
