Red Velvet Cheesecake Cake

CHEESECAKE: Cream together the cream cheese, sugar, and cornstarch with mixer
- CHEESECAKE:
- 3 (8 oz.) pkgs. cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 1/3 cup sugar
- 3 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tbsp. vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 2/3 cup heavy or whipped cream
- RED VELVET CAKE:
- 1/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
- 2 oz. red food coloring
- 2 1/4 cup flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tbsp. white vinegar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
- 1 (8 oz. ) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 box powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 tbsp. heavy or whipping cream
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Buckeye Balls

Beat peanut butter and butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until blended
- 1 (16 oz.) jar creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 ( 16 oz.) packages powdered sugar
- 2 cups ( 12 oz. ) semisweet chocolate morsels
- 2 tbsp. shortening
Beef with Mushrooms (Slow Cooker)

1. Brown meat, mushrooms, garlic, and onions in shortening in skillet
- 1 1/2 lbs. stewing beef, cubed
- 4 oz. can mushroom pieces, drained ( save liquid)
- half a garlic clove, minced
- 3/4 cup sliced onions
- 3 tbsp. shorteing
- 1 beef bouillon cube ( B V)
- 1 cup hot water
- 8 oz. can tomato sauce
- 2 tsp. sugar ?
- 2 tsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Paula's Ultimate Oatmeal Cookies

1. Preheat the oven to 350
- BROWN BUTTER ICING:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
- 1 1/2 cups packed light brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1 3/4 cups flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp. allspice
- 2 1/2 cups quick-cooking oatmeal ( not instant)
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter
- 3 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Little Traveler's Chopped Salad

Cook the pasta according to package directions, drain off the water
- 2 cups dried orecchiette or medium shell macaroni or 3 cups dried bow-tie pasta (8oz)
- 1 medium head iceberg lettuce, chopped, or 8 cups torn leaf lettuce or fresh baby spinach leaves
- 12 oz. cooked chicken or turkey, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1 12 oz. jar roasted red sweet peppers,well drained and coarsely chopped
- 1 small red onion, thinly sliced and separated into rings
- 8 slices bacon, crisp cooked, drained and crumbled
- 1 2.8 oz. can french-fried onions
- 1 12 oz. bottle poppy seed salad dressing

Cook peas in water until just tender, about 5 minutes
- 2-10 oz. packages frozen peas
- 1 cup water
- 2 cups shredded lettuce
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup sliced green onion
- salt

Nan's Sloppy Joes

1. Brown beef and onion in saucepan
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp. chili sauce
- 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp. prepared mustard
- 1 tbsp. vinegar
- 1 tbsp. sugar
STRAWBERRY AND CREAM PIE

Cream together butter and powdered sugar; add eggs
- Topping:
- 8 tbsp. (1 stick) butter
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 2 eggs. beaten
- One 8 inch graham cracker crust
- 1 1/2 cups sliced and sweetened strawberries, drained
- 1 cup whipped cream
Salad Dressing

Place all ingredients into a jar
- 3/4 cups olive oil or canola oil
- Juice of 2 lemons
- 4 tbsp. grated parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp. salt, more to taste
- Black pepper
- 1/4 tsp. sugar
- Dash of paprika
- 1 clove garlic-peeled and left whole
Chinese Chicken

Saute mushrooms, onions and cashews in 1 tbsp
- 1/2 lb. ushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped green onions, 1 inch pieces.
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup raw cashews
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 2 lbs. chicken breasts, cubed
- 1 1/2 cups boiling water
- 2 chicken bouillon cubes
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/4 cup sherry ( sub)
- 2 tbsp. cornstarch
