Cold Soba Noodles

In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, lemon juice, and sesame oil and whisk until well blended
- 4 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons seasoned rice wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (from about 1/2 lemon)
- Dash of toasted sesame oil
- 8 ounces soba (thin buckwheat) noodles
- 4 scallions, thinly sliced (white and green parts)
- 1/2 English cucumber, seeded and thinly sliced
- 6 large radishes, thinly sliced
Pan-Fried Steak

Trim away as much fat as possible from the edges of the steak
- Mustard Sauce (optional):
- 1 beef steak, about 1/3 pound, boneless, or 3/4 pound with bone
- 1/4 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened to room temperature
- 1/2 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
Coconut Basmati Rice

In a heavy, medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter, plus more to taste
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onion (about 1/2 medium onion)
- 1 1/2 cups basmati or other long-grain white rice
- 1 cup unsweetened light coconut milk, well stirred
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Penne a la Carbonara

Heat a large saute pan, until hot
- 1 pound pancetta, diced into 1-inch cubes
- Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 6 eggs, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup heavy cream, at room temperature
- 1 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan
- 1 pound dried penne
- 4 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
Pink Grapefruit Margaritas

Mix the grapefruit juice, lime juice, tequila, Grand Marnier, and sugar in a pitcher
- 4 cups fresh pink grapefruit juice
- juice of 3 limes
- 2 cups tequila
- 1/4 cup Grand Marnier
- 1 cup sugar
BBQ Pork Sandwiches

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F
- Dry rub:
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1/2 tablespoon cayenne
- 4 pound shoulder pork roast
- 2 cup apple juice
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire
- 1/2 tablespoon liquid smoke
- 1/2 tablespoon garlic powder
- 6 soft hamburger buns with seeds
- Bbq sauce
- Cole slaw
Rosemary Potatoes

Bake at 375 for 20 minutes, up to 400 for 10, then up to broil til brown n crispy
- 1 lb. baby white potatoes, halved
- 1 rosemary sprig (remove greens and mince)
- 1/2 clove garlic minced
- salt and pepper to taste
- coat with olive oil
Mexican Turkey Burger

Combine all ingredients together then divide into four equal sized patties
- 1 lb. ground turkey meat (white if ultra low fat, dark for more flavor, a mixture for a combination of elements)
- 1/4 red pepper, chopped
- 1/4 yellow pepper, chopped small (if you only have one color, that is fine)
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- Dash of tabasco
- Dash of worcestershire
- Salt and pepper
Goat Cheese Sundried Tomato Chicken Breasts

Combine goat cheese, herbs, and salt and pepper
- 6 boneless chicken breasts
- 1 cup goat cheese
- 1 tsp. dried Italian herbs
- 1 tsp. minced fresh Italian parsley
