- 4 slices multigrain bread, torn

- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 1/2 C grated extra-sharp cheddar (6 oz)
- 1 1/2 C reduced fat sour cream
- 1/2 C milk
- 1 T Dijon mustard

Preheat oven to 350. Whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt
- 3 C flour
- 1/2 T baking soda
- 1/2 t coarse salt
- 1 3/4 C sugar
- 1/4 C packed light brown sugar
- 2 vanilla beans, split and scraped, pod reserved for another use
- 2 1/2 sticks unslated butter, room temp
- 2 large eggs
- Fine sanding sugar, for sprinkling
- Water, for brushing

- 1/4 C sugar
- 1 t cinnamon
- 2 T melted butter
- 1 pint fresh blueberries
- 2 T cold butter, cut into tiny cubes

Tortilla Soup

Place all ingredients in crock pot on high for 4 1/2 hours or low for about 6 1/2 hours
- 4 boneless half chicken breasts - raw
- 2 cans chicken broth (15 oz. each)
- 1 can diced tomatoes (15 oz)
- 1 small can tomato sauce
- 1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
- 1/2 large white or yellow onion - chopped
- 1/2 t minced garlic
- 1 T worcestershire sauce
- 1 T butter
- 1 C fresh chopped cilantro
- 1 handful crushed tortilla chips
- 1 can corn - not drained
- 1 small can diced mild green chilies
- salt and pepper to taste

- sugar to sprinkle on top

- 1 1/2 C turbinado sugar, divided ( found in natural foods section of large stores or natural foods store)
- 1 large egg
- 4 T molasses
- 2 C whole wheat pastry flour
- 2 t baking soda
- 1 1/4 t cinnamon
- 1 1/4 t ginger
- 1/4 t sea salt
