Hamburger buns

Beautiful burger buns fron king Arthur
- 3/4-1 cup lukewarm water
- 2 tblsp butter
- 1 egg
- 3-1/2 cups flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1-1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tblsp yeast
- Onion buns: add I tsp onion powder
- Cheese buns: add 1 tsp onion powder, decrease sugar to 2 tblsp, add 2 tblsp. Butter, add 3/4 cup grated cheese, decrease salt to 3/4 tsp
- Decrease
- Topping
- 3 tblsp melted butter
- Dried onion flakes, if making onion buns
- Sesame seeds or poppy seeds or everything toppings are optional
Braised Beef Steaks with Zesty Sauce

Serves: 4; 3 ounces cooked steak and 2 tablespoons sauce per serving 1/2 carbohydrate, 3 1/2 lean
- 4 boneless eye-of-round steaks (4 ounces each), all visible fat discarded
- 1 teaspoon salt-free garlic and herb seasoning blend
- Vegetable oil spray
- 1 cup fat-free, no-salt-added beef broth
- 1/4 cup whole almonds
- 1 tablespoon sliced almonds
- 1/4 cup whole-berry cranberry sauce or 1/3 cup fat-free sour cream
- 1 tablespoon prepared white horseradish
- 1/2 teaspoon salt-free garlic and herb seasoning blend
Foolproof Pie Dough

Process 1 1/2 cups flour, salt, and sugar in food processor until combined, about 2 one-second pulses
- 2 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon table salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/4-inch slices
- 1/2 cup cold vegetable shortening, cut into 4 pieces
- 1/4 cup cold vodka (I put it in the freezer)
- 1/4 cup cold water

- 1 1/4 Cup Flour
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 2 TBS Butter, cut unto 6-12 pieces

- 2 cups boiling water
- 2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 cup butter

Asian Barbeque Prawns

Rinse the shrimp, drain and dry on paper towels
- 1.5 lb jumbo shrimp
- 5 tblsp sesame oil, dvd
- 3 tblsp rice wine,sake ,or dry sherry
- 3 tblsp soy sauce
- 1.5 tblsp honey
- 1.5 tblsp sesame seeds
- 1/2 tsp Chinese five spice powder
- 2 crushed cloves garlic
- 2 slices ginger
- 2 scallions, smashed and the green sliced for garnish
S'Mores Bars

Preheat oven to 350* In a food processor crumble the Graham crackers, add the flour and brown sugar
