Strawberry Rhubarb Crumble

- 3/4 cup flour
- 2/3 cup plus 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Salt
- 6 tblsp. Butter
- 1/2 cup toasted, chopped hazelnuts
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1/2 vanilla bean, split
- 1 lb. Strawberries ( about 4 cups)
- 12 oz. Rhubarb, cut up
Sweet potato and spicy sausage soup

The spicy sausage plays well against the sweet of the potato
- 3 tblsp olive oil, DVD
- 1 10-11 oz Portuguese or chorizo sausage, cut unto slices
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 large sweet potatoes, peeled, cut up into bite size pieces
- 2 med potato, cut into bite size pieces
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 9oz bag baby spinach

1. In a double boiler over hot, but not boiling water, combine chocolate chips, butter, and corn syrup
