Mint Ginger Ale

Of the many varieties of mint, spearmint is the best one to use for this thirst-quencher
- 2 Tbs. packed fresh mint leaves, julienned
- 1 tsp. sugar
- Ice cubes as needed
- 2 bottles (each 1 quart) ginger ale or tonic water
- Bourbon, to taste (optional)
Rosemary Twists

Combine butter, rosemary and garlic in a 13x9" baking pan; tilt to coat bottom of pan
- 1/3 c. butter, melted
- 1 tsp. dried rosemary
- 1/2 tsp. garlic, minced
- 2 1/4 c. flour
- 2 Tb. grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 Tb. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
Basic spaetzle

Mix the ingredients. Boil 2 liters water
- 4 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking powder, (optional, I prefer without)
Foolproof Pie Dough (with vodka)

Vodka is essential to the texture of the crust and imparts no flavor
- 2 1/2 c. (12 1/2 oz.) unbleached, all-purpose flour, + extra for work surface
- 1 tsp. table salt
- 2 Tb. sugar
- 12 Tb. (1 1/2 sticks) cold unsalted butter, cut into 1/4" slices
- 1/2 c. cold vegetable shortening, cut into 4 pieces
- 1/4 c. cold vodka
- 1/4 c. cold water
Frozen Watermelon Margaritas

Freeze watermelon cubes for at least 8 hours
- 5 cups watermelon
- 1 (6 oz) frozen lime juice concentrate
- 1/2 cup tequila
Ham and Cheese Sandwiches

Mix butter, onion, mustard and poppy seeds together and spread on both sides of rolls

Lemon Granita

1. Heat sugar and water on medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves
- 4 c. sugar
- 3 c. water
- 3 c. fresh lemon juice
- fresh mint leaves or lemon slices, for garnish
Mint Mocha Freeze

Place all of the ingredients in a blender, except for the Reddi-wip
- 1 oz. sugar-free calorie-free peppermint syrup
- 1 Tb. sugar-free chocolate syrup
- 2 tsp. Coffee-mate Fat Free French Vanilla powdered creamer, dissolved in 1 oz. warm water
- 1 tsp. instant coffee
- 3 no-calorie sweetener packets
- 5-8 ice cubes
- 2 Tb. Fat Free Reddi-wip
Peanut Butter Balls

Dip balls in chocolate mixture
- Melt:
- 3 c. graham cracker crumbs
- 2 c. crunch peanut butter
- 1 c. melted butter
- 1 lb. powdered sugar
- Mix the above ingredients and form into balls--chill.
- 2 c. chocolate chips, add some paraffin
Chocolate Chip Muffins

Directions: Preheat an oven to 350�F
- These muffins taste especially good because they are filled with chocolate chips!
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 12 tablespoons (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 1 cup plus 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 eggs, at room temperature
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
