Grilled Blue Cheese Burgers

1. Prepare grill. 2. Place bread in a food processor; process 30 seconds or until finely ground
- Shape the patties the night before and chill until you're ready to grill.
- 2 (1 oz.) sliced country white bread
- 2 Tb. fat-free milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 lbs. lean ground sirloin
- 1/2 c. (2 oz.) crumbled blue cheese
- 8 hamburger rolls, halved
Homemade Ice Cream

Beat egg yolks and sugar--add milk and water and cook to boiling point or until mixture coats spoon
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 egg yolks
- 2 cans sweetened condensed milk
- 4 cans water
- 6 egg whites, stiffly beaten
- 2 Tb. vanilla
- 2 pkg. frozen fruit
Sesame-Lemon Cucumber Salad

Whisk all ingredients except cucumbers in medium bowl
- 1/4 c. rice vinegar
- 1 Tb. juice from 1 lemon
- 2 Tb. Asian sesame oil
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/8 tsp. dried red pepper flakes, plus more to taste
- 1 Tb. sesame seeds, toasted over medium heat until fragrant and golden, 4-5 minutes
- 3 medium cucumbers, sliced, salted, and drained
Cherry Breakfast Strata

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Cherry Syrup:
- 12 c. day-old Italian bread cubes, (1/2" cubes)
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- 1/2 c. sugar, divided
- 1/2 c. dried cherries
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. half and half
- 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1 can (14 1/2 oz) sour cherries, undrained
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 Tb. cornstarch
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
Banana and Nutella Smoothie

Combine Nutella, peanut butter, yogurt, soy milk and banana in a blender
- 1 c. Nutella spread
- 1/4 c. creamy peanut butter
- 2 c. vanilla yogurt
- 1 1/4-1 1/2 c. soy milk
- 4 medium frozen bananas
Feta Slaw

Combine first 6 ingredients
- 1 Tb. white wine vinegar
- 1 Tb. fresh lemon juice
- 1 Tb. extra-virgin olive oil
- , 1 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
- 4 c. packaged angel hair coleslaw
- 1/2 c. chopped green onions
- 1/3 c. crumbled feta cheese
Grilled Bratwurst with Onions and Peppers

1. Combine the onion, salt and pepper in a medium microwave-safe bowl
- 1 large onion, halved and sliced thin
- 1/4 tsp. table salt
- 1/8 tsp. ground black pepper
- 2 red bell peppers, stemmed, seeded, and quartered
- 8 x8" disposable aluminum baking pan
- 1/2 lb. bratwurst, (about 2 links)
- 2 hot dog buns, toasted
Honey and Mint Mango Salad

1. For the Glaze: Pour honey into a medium saucepan and set over low heat
- Glaze:
- Chiffonade is the term used when cutting herbs into ribbons. The technique is simple, the result elegant. Just tightly roll the leaves (like rolling a cigar) and cut them crosswise into thin strips.
- 1/2 c. honey
- 2 Tb. fresh mint, cut into ribbons
- Salad:
- 2 mangoes, cut into small chunks
- 2 pineapples, cut into small chunks
- 1/4 tsp. poppy seeds
