In a medium sauce pan combine sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, oil, crushed red pepper, ginger, and garlic powder

- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/8 to 1/4 tsp garlic powder
- 24 small mushrooms (about 8 ounces), halved
- 2 tbsp sliced green onion
