Beef and Bean Ragout (skinny)

In a slow cooker stir together meat, beans, tomato sauce, tomatoes, potaotes, and Italian seasoning
- 1 lb beef stew meat cut into 1 in cubes
- 1 (16oz)can of kidney beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 (15oz)can of tomato sauce with onion and garlic
- 1 (14.5oz)no salt added stewed tomatoes, undrained
- 1/2 of 28oz bag of frozen diced hash brown potatoes with onions and peeppers
- 2 t dried Italian seasoning
- fresh oregano leaves optional
Pear Topping for French Toast or Pancakes

Beef Casserole

BROWN meat in skillet. ADD and continue cooking the next 6 ingredients
- 1 pound ground chuck
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 1 can 16oz tomatoes
- 1 can 8oz tomato sauce
- 1 1/2 cloves garlic
- 1 package 5oz thin egg noodles, cooked
- 1/2 pint sour cream
- 3 ounces cream cheese
- 6 each green onion, chopped
- 1 cup grated American Cheese
Bread and Butter Custard

- 4 to 5 thin slices of white bread (crusts removed)
- 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature
- 4 cups whole milk
- 6 large eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Nutmeg & cinnamon to dust on top of custard

- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1 can 16oz can black beans, drained
- 1 can 16oz cannellini beans, drained
- 2 large tomatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium green or red pepper
- 2 stalks celery including tops
- 2 large carrots
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped parsley
- 12 each black olives
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- coarsely ground pepper
Oatmeal Cake

Preheat oven to 350. Pour boiling water over oatmeal and set aside for 20 min
- 1 1/4 c boiling water
- 1 c oatmeal old fashioned uncooked
- 1/2 c butter
- 1 c sugar
- 1 c brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 t vanilla
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 1 t baking soda
- 3/4 t cinnamon
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 t nutmeg****
- Topping
- 1/2 c butter
- 2 c coconut
- 1 c nuts finely chopped
- 1 1/2 c brown sugar
- 8-10 T evaporated milk

In a Dutch oven, saute the ground beef over medium-high heat until no pink remains
- 1 tablespoon Paula Deen House Seasoning
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 bay leaves
- 2 tablespoons Italian seasoning
- 2 (15-ounce) cans diced tomatoes
- 2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
- 3 cup water
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 large onion, chopped
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 tablespoon Paula Deen Seasoned Salt
- 2 cups elbow macaroni, uncooked
Baked Creamy Cheesy Pasta

COOK the pasta in salted boiling water al dente
- 1 pound fusilli pasta (corkscrew stuff)
- 2 1/2 cups cream
- 3 each eggs
- 8 ounces feta cheese, crumbled
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 2 teaspoons nutmeg
- 1 cup grated cheddar or mozzarella cheese

COMBINE orange juice and sugar in small saucepan
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 bottle white zinfandel wine
- 1/4 cup lime or lemon juice
- 1 each orange, thinly sliced

- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup crushed potato chips
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- paprika if desired
