Cranberry Shiver

In a saucepan, bring cranberries and 2 cups of water to a boil
- 1 package (12 ounces) fresh or frozen cranberries
- 3 cups water, divided
- 1-3/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon grated orange peel
- Fresh mint, optional
Crab Crescent Loaf

Golden crescent roll slices are scrumptious filled with dilled cream cheese and tender pieces of crab
- 1 tube (8 ounces) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 packages (3 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
- 1/3 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
- 1 cup chopped imitation crabmeat or 1 can (6 ounces) crabmeat, drained, flaked and cartilage removed
- 1 egg yolk, lightly beaten
Corn Chowder With Grilled Shrimp

A farmers market or roadside stand is the best source for sweet corn
- 1 ⁄4 cup plus 1 Tbs. olive oil
- 2 Tbs. minced fresh basil
- Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 18 medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 2 russet potatoes, peeled and cut into
- 1 -inch cubes
- 5 cups milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 ears of corn, kernels removed
- 3 bacon slices, cooked and chopped
- 1 ⁄4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- Lime slices for garnish
Rolled Stuffed Turkey Breast

Ask your butcher to butterfly the turkey breast halves
- 4 Tbs. (1⁄2 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 large yellow onion, diced
- 4 celery stalks, diced
- 1 fennel bulb, trimmed and diced
- 2 Tbs. minced mixed fresh herbs, such as
- rosemary, sage and thyme
- 1 ⁄3 cup minced fresh flat-leaf parsley
- Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
- 1 box focaccia stuffing
- 3 to 3 1⁄2 cups chicken stock, warmed, plus
- more if needed
- 2 boneless turkey breast halves, each about
- 4 lb., butterflied by your butcher and pounded
- to 1⁄2-inch thickness
- 2 Tbs. olive oil
- 1 jar turkey gravy base, prepared according to
- package instructions, for serving
Frozen Hawaiian Pie

•In a large bowl, combine milk and whipped topping
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 carton (12 ounces) frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 can (20 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 graham cracker crusts (9 inches)
- Fresh mint and additional walnuts and maraschino cherries
