Jambalaya With Shrimp, Chicken and Ham

The derivation of the word jambalaya is said to come from Spanish, French and African cultures
- 2 Tbs. unsalted butter
- 3 Tbs. olive oil
- 12 large shrimp, about 10 oz. total, peeled and deveined
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, each 4 to 6 oz., cut into
- large pieces
- 1 yellow onion, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, seeded and chopped
- 2 celery stalks, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 jalapeño chili, minced
- 2 tomatoes, seeded and chopped
- 1 cup long-grain rice
- 2 cups chicken broth
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 6 oz. smoked ham, cut into cubes
- 1 tsp. sweet paprika
- 1 Tbs. chopped fresh thyme
- Pinch of cayenne pepper, or more, to taste
Starbucks Chantico Chocolate Cake

Butter or oil for greasing pan Preheat oven to 350
- FROSTING:
- 1 box "Duncan Hines Moist Deluxe Devil's Food Cake"
- 1 small box chocolate pudding
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup sour cream (I use light)
- 6 oz of Chantico Drinking Chocolate from Starbucks
- 1 of butter
- 2/3 cup Hershey's cocoa
- 3 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 3-4 oz Chantico Drinking Chocolate from Starbucks
- bit of milk as needed to soften texture of frosting
- 1 tsp real vanilla extract
Golden Honey Pan Rolls

In bread machine pan, place the first eight ingredients in order suggested by manufacturer
- GLAZE:
- 1 cup warm milk (70° to 80°)
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3-1/2 cups bread flour
- 2-1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 egg white
- Additional honey, optional
Taco Appetizer Platter

In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink; drain
- 1-1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 envelope taco seasoning
- 2 packages (8 ounces each) cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 can (4 ounces) chopped green chilies, drained
- 2 medium tomatoes, seeded and chopped
- 1 cup chopped green onions
- 1-1/2 cups chopped lettuce
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup honey barbecue sauce
- 1 to 1 -1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Corn chips
Starbucks Spiced Pumpkin Bread

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 16-ounce can solid pack pumpkin
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts (optional)
Pineapple Barbecue Bacon Burgers

Season Burger with whatever seasonings you like, any will do
- 2 lbs of Ground Beef
- 2 Cans of Pineapples in the juice (or 1 whole pineaple)
- 1 Pack of Bacon
- Season Burger to your liking
Steamed Lemon Broccoli

I first tried this sunny side dish because it seemed to be a fresh, nutritious and easy combination
- 1 large bunch broccoli, cut into spears
- 1 medium onion, halved and thinly sliced
- 1 cup thinly sliced celery
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
- 1-1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt, optional
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
Arthur Treacher's Fish Batter

Dip moistened fish pieces evenly but lightly in the flour
- 3 3 3 Pounds Fish Fillets
- 2 2 2 Cups All−purpose flour
- 3 3 3 Cups Pancake mix
- 3 3 3 Cups Club soda
- 1 1 1 Tablespoon Onion powder
- 1 1 1 Tablespoon Seasoned salt
Poppy Seed Fruit Dressing

Place the peach in a blender; cover and process until smooth
- Ingredients
- 1 large peach, peeled and sliced
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup apple juice
- 2 tablespoons cider vinegar
- 2 teaspoons chopped onion
- 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
- 1 large orange, peeled and sectioned
- 1 small pineapple, peeled and cut into wedges
- 1 small cantaloupe, cut into balls or cubes
- 2 cups strawberries or blueberries
- 1 cup blackberries
- 1 cup seedless grapes
- 1 medium unpeeled red apple, sliced
- 2 medium kiwifruit, peeled and sliced
