- 1 garlic clove, pressed
- 1/2 t. freshly ground pepper

Crockpot Hamburger Soup

I love this soup. Comfort food at it's finest
- 1-1/2 # lean ground beef, browned and drained
- 6 beef bouillon cubes (dissolve in hot water)
- 6 c. water
- 1 pkg. frozen vegetable gumbo mix
- 48-oz. can crushed tomatoes (or can use diced)
- OPTIONAL - baby carrots, julienned zucchini, fresh pole beans, can of italian cut green beens ---can add any vegetables you want, but perfectly fine with the basic ingredients.
- 1/2 c. orzo (added last 10 minutes of cooking)
Indian Rice Salad

This is a very tasty brown rice recipe salad made with asparagus, apples, raisins, and a curry lemon dressing
- GARNISH:
- 1 1/2 cups brown rice
- 4 cups water
- 1 (10 ounce) can asparagus tips, drained
- *Tip - I prefer fresh roasted asparagus*
- 1 red bell pepper, seeded and diced
- 2 red apples, cored and diced
- 1/4 cup golden raisins
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh pineapple
