Chicken Pomodoro

Season cutlets with salt and pepper, then dust with flour
- 4 large boneless chicken breasts -- pounded thin
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup vodka
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup fresh tomato -- chopped
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- 1/3 cup scallion -- minced
Butternut Squash Soup

1. Halve butternut squash lengthwise, scoop out seeds and place squash on a cutting board cut side down
- Optional garnish:
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 cup onion, diced into 1/4-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 large (2 1/4- to 2 1/2-pound) butternut squash
- 1 medium sweet potato
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 3 1/4 cups water
- Salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons crème fraîche
- 1/2 cup crème fraîche
- 1 1/2 ounces smoked bacon, cut crosswise into 1/4-inch pieces
- 1 tablespoon flat-leaf parsley, roughly chopped
Muffins-All Bran

Combine dry ingredients except cereal
- 1 1/4 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon mace and nutmeg
- 2 cup All-Bran cereal
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup oil
Shoyu Chicken

Clean and wash chicken carefully
- 1 chicken, about 3 lbs
- 3/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 3 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 star anise
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons sherry
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with
- 4 tablespoons cold water
- Chinese parslely (cilantro) for garnish
Scalloped Potatoes

Heat oven to 350. Wash and peel potatoes
- 2 pounds potatoes (about 6 medium)
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 tablespoons flour
- salt, pepper to taste
- 2 1/2 cups milk
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1 tablespoon butter
Savory Stuffed Mushrooms

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C)
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 12 fresh mushrooms
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons minced green onions
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 cup diced cooked crabmeat
- 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
- 3/4 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup crumbled bacon
- 1/4 cup dry white wine
Grape Cake

Butter and flour a cake pan, then set it aside
- 2 large eggs
- 2/3 cups sugar (use less if your grapes are on the sweet side–mine were quite tart), plus extra for finishing the cake
- 4 Tbsp melted butter
- 1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup ground almonds (feel free to substitute flour here if you don’t have almonds, or even scale back the flour a bit and add more almond flour)
- 3/4 tsp baking power
- a pinch of salt
- zest of one lemon
- 2 cups flavourful grapes
- Equipment: a 9″ round cake pan

Cook the chicken in oil till almost done, then drop in the garlic for about a minute
- 2 chicken breasts, sliced thinly or cut into small cubes or 1/2 to 3/4 Lbs ground turkey
- 8 button mushrooms, cut into small pieces
- 2 cans of water chestnuts, cut into small pieces
- 2 small cloves of garlic, diced
- 2 bunches of green onions, finely chopped
- 1 small bunch of cilantro, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup of hoisin sauce (really use any amount you like - adjust it to your taste)
- 2-3 tbsp soy sauce
- canola or veg oil

) Put ½ portion of the flour and yeast in a bowl, whisk to combine, add sugar and salt and whisk again
- 300 g bread flour,sifted
- 5 g instant dried yeast
- 10 g granulated sugar
- 6 g salt
- 30 g unsalted butter (room temperature)
- 220-230 g 1 egg plus whole milk
- 12 pieces normal size hot dog/sausage
- 6 pieces of cheedar cheese,cut half
- Egg wash - 1 egg plus 2 tsp water.

- 1/2 cup onions -- chopped
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 2 cups stale bread -- cut into cubes
- 4 cups hot masted potatoes
- 1 egg -- beaten
- 1/3 cup parsley -- finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon flour
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- salt, pepper to taste
