Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl; Stir in shrimp
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/2 cup lime or lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons red wine or burnet vinegar
- 2 teaspoons capers
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon dill seed
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- ground red pepper
- 1 pound fresh shrimp -- cooked, peel, devein
- avocado, 3 or 4 ripe
Spaghetti Sauce (Fresh Tomato Sauce)

- 5 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic -- crushed
- 1 pound fresh tomatoes -- peeled, seeded, choped
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil -- minced
- 1 teaspoon sugar

- 1 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/2 teaspoon
- 3 cup milk
- 4 egg yolks, slightly beaten
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 6 tablespooon cocoa powder
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 1-2 tablespoon Kahlua, if desired

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for working
- 1 cup whole-wheat flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened (2 sticks)
- 3/4 cup packed light-brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons high-quality honey

- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup Karo syrup, light or dark

- 5 tablespoons flour
- 1 3/4 cups cornmeal
Orange and Cucumber Salad

- 2 quarts romaine, broken into pieces
- 1 medium orange, peeled and sectioned
- 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1/2 red onion, slivered
- 1/2 red bell pepper,sliced thinly
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- coarsely ground pepper
Chicken and Dumplings

Bring the water to a boil in a large pot
- Chicken and Broth
- 3 quarts water
- 1 3-4 pound chicken cut up
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 small onion sliced
- 2 stalks celery, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, peeled and quartered
- 1 bay leaf
- 4-6 whole parsley leaves
- 1 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Dumplings
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 1/4 teaspoons of salt
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons milk
Pan Seared Salmon in Mango Sauce

- 2 salmon fillets, each 6 to 8 oz., with skin intact, pin bones removed
- 1 1⁄4 cups mango juice (substitute 1 mango plus 3/4 cup water)
- 2 Tbs. olive oil
- 2 Tbs. minced fresh chives or 1 green onion, white and light green portions, finely chopped
- Black beans(2cups or 1-15oz can)
Brown rice
