Chocolaty Melting Snowmen

- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 egg
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 pound vanilla-flavored candy coating, coarsely chopped
- 20 bite-size chocolate-covered peanut butter cups, unwrapped
- Brown and orange sprinkles or other candies and/or tinted frosting
Mustard-Glazed Halibut Steaks

- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
- 2 teaspoons snipped fresh basil or 1/2 teaspoon dried basil, crushed

Lacto-Fermented Jalapeno Rings

- 1 1 1 lb. jalapeños
- 2 2 2 cloves garlic
- 1 1 1 c. filtered water
- 4 4 4 TBS. whey
- 1 1 1 TBS. salt
Asparagus Soup

- 1 1/2 cups onions, diced (1 carb)
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic, chopped
- 6 cups fat-free, low sodium chicken broth
- 3 cups asparagus, diced (about 1 1/2 bunches) (3 carbs)
- 1 cup potatoes, diced (3 carbs)
- 1 dash salt
- 1/2 teaspoon yellow mustard seed
- 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1 dash 17-spice mix (didn't use, couldn't find - made our own mix of spices)
Pan-Fried Garlic Steak and Potatoes

Very good - we didn't use the cherry tomatoes because we don't care for cooked tomatoes like that
- 12 cloves garlic
- 1 lb. tiny new potatoes, scrubbed
- 4 6-oz. boneless beef ribeye or beef strip steaks
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 cup grape or cherry tomatoes
- Fresh oregano (optional)
Pork Loin with Parsnips & Pears

- 1-1/2 lb. boneless pork loin
- 3 Tbsp. Pickapeppa or Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 3 to 4 small parsnips, peeled and sliced
- 2 pears, cored, sliced and/or chopped
- 1/2 cup pear nectar or apple juice
- Fresh Italian (flat-leaf) parsley (optional)

- 2 medium bananas, sliced (1-1/2 cups)
- 1 teaspoon rum flavoring
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate pieces
- 1/2 cup peanut butter-flavored pieces
- 1 teaspoon shortening
